This opportunity is tailored for proactive, intelligent, and outgoing tutors who want to advance their tutoring career.
- We are an online tuition agency specialising in KS2, KS3, GCSE, and AS/A-Level curriculums in the UK.
- Tutors set their own rates within reason, lessons are one-to-one and online, and payments are deposited 1-2 times per month.
- We promote your profile and make introductions where suitable through a free intro meeting or an email conversation, depending on what the client prefers.
What we provide
Once a tutor and client start working together, the relationship stays direct while Latimer supports the practical side.

Eligibility criteria (required)
These requirements help keep the tutoring experience dependable for families and practical for tutors.
- Availability
- Tutors must be able to provide a minimum of 9 hours per week of tuition at the time of application.
- Flexibility
- Tutors must be able to arrange session timings at their convenience and the client's.
- Homework
- Tutors must be willing to assign a reasonable amount of homework between sessions if requested by the client.
- Tech proficiency
- Tutors must be technologically confident and able to teach online effectively.
- Communication
- Tutors must have a UK mobile number capable of SMS, calling, and WhatsApp.
- Right to work in the UK
- Tutors must have a UK bank account and the right to work in the UK.
- Experience
- Tutors are required to hold previous paid one-to-one online tutoring experience.
- Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List
- Tutors must hold an Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List issued within the last 4 years, or be willing to arrange one.
- Charge rate
- Tutors must not charge more than £60 per hour at the time of application.
- Location
- Tutors must reside in the United Kingdom at the time of application.
- Age
- Tutors must be aged 16 or over.
- Career horizon
- Tutors must not anticipate ending their tutoring career within the next 1-2 years.
- Lesson reports
- Tutors must be willing to submit lesson reports after each session.
- Interview
- Tutors must be willing to attend an interview within 2 weeks of application.
Eligibility criteria (preferred)
These are not hard requirements, but they strengthen an application.
- Qualifications. Tutors should hold strong GCSE and A-Level grades in the subjects they intend to teach.
- Proactivity. Tutors who engage with clients proactively and build strong working relationships tend to do well.
The legal stuff
Latimer Tuition introduces tutors to clients, but tutors continue to work independently.
- Our position
- Latimer Tuition is an employment agency. We introduce tutors to clients, but we do not employ tutors and we cannot guarantee work.
- Your position
- Tutors work with clients as self-employed contractors. Lesson agreements are between the tutor and the client, not Latimer Tuition.
