Latimer Tuition represents a new approach to the tuition market, placing emphasis on the personal connection between tutors and their clients.

Direct contact with tutors. When we introduce you to a tutor, you receive their contact details and can message them directly from their profile on the Find a Tutor page.
No silly fees, no starting fees, simply pay-as-you-go. You only pay for the lessons you arrange with the tutor.
Future opportunities. Many former Latimer Tuition students go on to tutor with us because the model is flexible, personal, and practical.

Pricing

Tutors pick their own price, Latimer Tuition handles the payment process, and transparent pricing rarely changes for existing students.

Subject specialist tutor: A-Level students and graduates, university students and graduates, ex/current teaching assistants, and full-time tutors. Usually £20-£30 per hour.
Qualified teacher, examiner, or lecturer: Current and retired teachers, current and retired examiners, and current and retired lecturers. Usually £25-£50 per hour.

Steps

From first search to first lesson, the process is designed to stay clear and low-pressure.

1. Find a Tutor: Click Find a Tutor to browse our tutors. Use the filters to narrow your search and find the tutor that best suits your needs.
2. Message a Tutor: Once you've found a tutor you like, send them a message and briefly explain what support you're looking for.
3. We'll introduce you over email: Once you've messaged a tutor, we'll introduce you and the tutor over email so you can chat directly, ask questions, and decide whether the fit feels right.
4. Begin Lessons: If the tutor feels like the right fit, ask them to book in some lessons. If not, you can return to Find a Tutor and message someone else.

No hidden fees: We charge per hour of lessons completed with the tutor and avoid surprise costs.
Pay-as-you-go: We invoice after lessons, accept online card payments and bank transfers, and provide 48 hours' notice before charging a saved card.
No contract, no tie-in: No one should be locked into tutoring. Families continue only while the lessons feel worthwhile. Tutors do operate a 24-hour cancellation policy.
