Celine Henry

Celine is a qualified history teacher who is currently pursuing doctoral research on penal transportation in the British Empire at the University of Birmingham. She holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Politics, as well as a Master's degree in International Development. Previously, she worked as a teacher in the Middle East. Celine is an experienced writer, researcher, and teacher with extensive knowledge of international development, history, politics, world history, literature, international relations, anthropology, decolonisation, and post-colonialism studies. She has experience teaching history in the classroom and tutoring at KS2, GCSE, and A-Level. Her favourite topics, which she has taught, include World War I, World War II, India, Germany, America, and the Russian Revolution. Additionally, Celine has experience teaching Geography at GCSE, as well as Government and Politics at A-Level.

As a history tutor, Celine supports learners across Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level, as well as 11+ and 13+ preparation and some university-level study. She also teaches GCSE Geography and A-Level Government and Politics, and can tutor Sociology at GCSE, AS Level, and A Level. Her teaching has covered a wide range of topics, including World War I, World War II, India, Germany, America, and the Russian Revolution. Celine has also previously worked as a teacher in the Middle East.

Celine is an experienced examiner and moderator for GCSE and A-Level examination boards, so lessons can include focused support with exam technique, understanding what questions are asking, and producing clear, well-evidenced written answers. Students can expect a structured approach with lesson reports after each session, and homework can be arranged free of charge. Her rate is £30.00 per hour.
