Smriti Rathi

Smriti, a dedicated educator, holds a PGCE (Maths) with QTS from Sheffield Hallam University. For 10 years, she's taught Maths and Accounting to students in years 7-11, adeptly addressing various abilities. Prior, she worked as an accountant at CEMEX UK Operations for six years.

Her teaching excellence shines through effective communication, adapting lessons to individual students' prior knowledge, and fostering responsible study habits with real-world relevance. She crafts personalized learning plans, employs diverse teaching methods, and imparts subject expertise with patience.

Smriti Rathi is a qualified Mathematics, Accounting and Business teacher with a PGCE in Mathematics with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from Sheffield Hallam University. She also holds a First-Class Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and a First-Class Master’s Degree (specialising in Accounting and Finance) from the University of Delhi, and is a Chartered Accountant (Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India). She currently teaches Mathematics, Accounting and Business in UK secondary schools and has over 12 years of school teaching experience.

As a mathematics tutor, Smriti supports learners across Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, GCSE, iGCSE, 11+ and 13+, including numeracy for 11+. She also teaches Accounting/Accountancy for GCSE, AS Level, A Level, International Baccalaureate and adult learners, and can help students working towards professional pathways such as ACA and ACCA. For Business Studies, she teaches GCSE.

Smriti’s tutoring is built around clear explanations and adapting each lesson to a student’s starting point and confidence level. Students can expect interactive sessions that use visual aids, colour, videos and active participation, with an emphasis on building responsible study habits and linking learning to real-world relevance. She provides lesson reports after each session, and homework can be arranged free of charge. Her rate is £35.00 per hour, and she is rated 4.5.
