About Paola

Paola was born and raised in Italy and moved to Scotland several years ago. She has been teaching Italian and English as second languages at all levels—both face-to-face and online for more than ten years.

As a dedicated language teacher; Paola truly enjoys seeing her students succeed. She is an experienced assessor and examiner, collaborating with international exam boards. She places a strong emphasis on error correction and fluency, using a communicative approach to encourage students to communicate as much as possible.

Confident, empathetic, and driven by a lifelong passion for learning and teaching languages, Paola believes that language learning is a fascinating journey that offers endless opportunities.

Paola holds a Masters degree in Sociology from the University of Trento and views sociology as a powerful tool for understanding society and developing critical thinking skills.

For Italian tuition, Paola can help students from Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 through to GCSE, AS Level, A Level and International Baccalaureate, as well as learners working towards a Professional Qualification. She is also available as a sociology tutor for GCSE, AS Level and A Level. In English, she brings specialist training to her teaching, holding the CELTA and TEAP certificates (teaching English for academic purposes).
